About
Turn a Western Canadian legal land description into an exact parcel, map location and GPS coordinates - even when you're offline. Land Description Lookup supports DLS and LSD locations across Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba, plus NTS/BCGS well-site locations in British Columbia. Search in either direction: enter a legal land description, paste GPS coordinates, use your current location or tap anywhere on the map. EXACT FIELD RESULTS - Search sections, half sections, quarter sections and LSDs - Enter township, range and meridian locations from E2 through W6 - Find British Columbia NTS/BCGS well-site locations - See the exact parcel outlined over satellite imagery - View GPS coordinates in decimal and degrees/minutes/seconds formats - See distance and bearing from your current location - Identify the Rural Municipality or County - Open turn-by-turn directions in Apple Maps or Google Maps PRIVATE AND OFFLINE Every conversion is computed on your device using official provincial survey records and surveyed township corners. A light base map of Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and British Columbia is available offline. Favouriting a location saves the surrounding map area so it remains accessible in the field. The app does not collect your data. SAVE IMPORTANT LOCATIONS Add custom notes, save favourites and revisit your lookup history for active jobs, properties and field locations. BUILT FOR WESTERN CANADIAN LAND WORK Useful for land agents, surveyors, oil and gas field crews, farmers and ranchers, rural real-estate professionals, municipal staff and anyone working with legal land descriptions. A subscription is required to use Land Description Lookup. Start with a 3-day free trial, then continue month to month. Cancel anytime.
