RosettaMaps

About

RosettaMaps helps you find and share dispersed camping, campgrounds, water sources, and other backcountry spots — built for overlanders, off-roaders, and anyone heading beyond cell coverage. FIND YOUR NEXT SPOT Browse an interactive map of dispersed camping, campgrounds, water sources, and showers. Search by name or drop in coordinates directly. Tap any spot to see amenities, photos, contributor notes, and recent updates from other travelers. Switch to satellite view any time from the Layers panel. WORKS WHERE YOUR SIGNAL DOESN'T Download map data and spot information by state before you head out. Once downloaded, RosettaMaps keeps working with no cell signal — critical for the remote roads and dispersed camping areas where you need it most. ADD AND UPDATE SPOTS Found a great campsite? Long-press anywhere on the map to drop a pin and add it in seconds. Add photos, amenities, and notes to help the next traveler. Post updates on existing spots to flag when conditions change. KNOW BEFORE YOU GO See real amenity details other travelers have reported — cell signal strength, wifi, water sources, toilet type, big rig and tent friendliness, and more — sourced from the community, not guesswork. FREE TO USE Browse the map, add new spots, post updates, and upload photos — all free with an account. GO PRO FOR MORE Upgrade to Pro to save favorites, mark spots private and share them only with who you choose, download offline map data for backcountry travel with zero connectivity, browse curated Points of Interest, and see live Wildfire Smoke and Wildfire Perimeter overlays right on the map so you know what's burning before you head out. Whether you're planning a weekend trip or a multi-week overland route, RosettaMaps helps you find real camping spots with real, up-to-date information from people who've actually been there.
