Recito turns your iPhone or iPad into a teleprompter that records. Your script scrolls high, right under the lens, over the live camera — so you look into the camera instead of down at your notes. It feels like Apple's Camera app, with the words where your eyes already are. No account. No cloud. No subscription. Everything stays on your device. THE TELEPROMPTER, DONE RIGHT - The script sits high under the lens on a frosted, legible scrim — reading reads as eye contact. - Adjust font size and scroll speed with a slider. - Preview the scroll before you record to dial in your pace. - Grab the text with your finger to scrub it mid-take. - Mirror mode for beam-splitter teleprompter rigs. ON IPAD TOO - Full screen, in landscape or portrait — a propped-up iPad makes a real teleprompter rig. - The script stays readable at arm's length, so you can stand back from the camera. - Everything is on the device, the same as on iPhone: no account, no cloud. PAUSE WITHOUT LOSING THE TAKE - Pause mid-script and the teleprompter freezes on the word you stopped at — carry on from exactly there. - You still get ONE video. The pauses are invisible in the result. - Fluffed a line? Delete just that part and record it again; the script rewinds with it. - Adjust the scroll speed while paused, and preview it before you carry on. RECORD AND REVIEW - 3-2-1 countdown, then record like the stock Camera. - Front or rear camera, portrait, with audio. - Shoot several takes and play them back. - A pace coach reads your delivery in words-per-minute — relaxed, great, or a touch fast. - Keep the best take; it saves straight to Photos, ready for Reels, Shorts, or TikTok. IT FOLLOWS YOUR VOICE - Just read. The script keeps pace with you — speed up, slow down, pause to think, and the words stay where your eyes are. - No speed to set and nothing to hold. Your hands stay free for the take. - The word you are reading is marked, at the top of the band or in the middle, whichever you prefer. - Recognition runs entirely on your device. Nothing is recorded, uploaded or kept — there is no account and no network involved. - The language comes from the script itself, so there is nothing to choose. It works in the languages your device can already recognise; the app tells you plainly when yours is not one of them. - Included free, on every script you can write for free. It starts off, so the script scrolls at the speed you set; turn it on with the Voice button when you want it. REMOTES AND KEYBOARDS - A Bluetooth camera remote, the volume buttons or Camera Control start and pause your take. Finish with the checkmark. - Apple Watch (Recito Pro): start, pause and finish a take from your wrist. Finish asks first. - With a keyboard, page turner or presentation clicker: Space starts and pauses; during a take, the arrow keys move the script. YOUR SCRIPTS, IN ORDER - Folders, and your own order: drag scripts where you want them, or keep the last edited on top. - On iPad, folders and scripts sit in a sidebar beside the script you're writing, as in Notes. PRIVATE BY DESIGN - Recito collects nothing. The App Store privacy label reads "Data Not Collected." - No analytics, no trackers, no network code outside Apple's StoreKit. - Your scripts and videos never leave your device unless you save or share them.
