This release is about Apple Watch: the watch app is now complete on its own, and your morning reaches your watch face more reliably. A NEW COMPLICATION Readiness Inputs puts today's score beside last night's HRV, resting heart rate and sleep, right on your watch face, each value coloured by how it compares with your own baseline. One of you asked for it in a review: thank you. MORE ON YOUR WRIST The watch now shows each input's value beside the points it added or took away, plus the one-line "In short" summary and any notes for the morning. Trends adds charts of HRV, resting heart rate and sleep against the line each is judged by, and shows what moved your score over the week or month. EASIER TO FIND YOUR WAY AROUND How it works and Settings sit at the top of the screen, and Trends at the end of the scroll. How it works is now a short menu of topics, each on its own page, with the sources on a page of their own. SCORE ON THIS WATCH, ON OR OFF "Score on this watch" now lives in the watch app's Settings, and you can switch it off again. Before, the only way back was reinstalling the app. Off, the watch shows the score from your iPhone, just as before. A WATCH FACE THAT KEEPS UP • With on-wrist scoring on, the watch now wakes on its own around your usual wake time, learned from your recent nights and never earlier than your "Not before" setting, so the complication updates without opening the app. • Reinstalling the watch app brings your score and history back on its own, even with the iPhone app closed, instead of starting from empty. • Watch and iPhone now sync only when something actually changed. ALSO IN THIS RELEASE • A breakdown value close to your baseline shows tenths, so a small difference no longer reads as none. • A new launch screen.

About

Morning Readiness gives you one honest number each morning: a 0–100 readiness score built from your overnight recovery — and it shows you exactly how it got there. No coaching. No subscription. No black box. Just the signal. HOW IT WORKS Each morning, Morning Readiness reads three things from Apple Health and compares them to your own personal baseline: • Heart Rate Variability (HRV) — your overnight SDNN versus your normal range • Resting Heart Rate — an elevated resting pulse pulls the score down • Sleep — last night's time asleep, against a nightly target you set yourself Every input is shown as signed points, so you always see why your score is what it is — not just the number. TRANSPARENT BY DESIGN Most recovery apps hand you a score and ask you to trust it. Morning Readiness does the opposite: • See each input's contribution, broken out point by point • Scored against YOUR baseline, not population averages • A confidence level on every reading • See how far each input can move your score, and what one more hour of sleep would have scored • When there isn't enough data to be honest, it shows no score — it never invents one HONEST ABOUT DATA Apple Watch records HRV only occasionally — mostly during sleep and Breathe sessions — so some nights are sparse. Morning Readiness surfaces that coverage instead of hiding it, and tells you how much to trust each morning's number. GROUNDED IN RESEARCH The way your score weighs HRV, resting heart rate, and sleep is based on peer-reviewed research. Tap "How it works & sources" on the Today screen to read the citations behind every input. TRENDS Watch your recovery move over time with clean 7- and 30-day charts. Spot the toll of a hard week or a cold coming on before you feel it. THE MORNING AFTER See how active you were each day, right next to the morning that followed it. Morning Readiness reads your active energy for context only — it is never part of your score, and the app never tells you what it means. If your watch was off for much of a day, that day is left blank rather than shown as a quiet one. WIDGETS & APPLE WATCH • Lock Screen and Home Screen widgets in every size • Your score at a glance on your iPhone • A companion Apple Watch app and complications — your readiness right on your wrist PRIVATE BY DEFAULT Your health data is read on-device and never leaves your iPhone. No account. No cloud. No tracking. FREE, IN FULL Every feature is free. No subscription, no unlock to buy, no upsell — the whole app, including all future updates. — Morning Readiness requires an Apple Watch that records heart rate and HRV, and is for general wellness and fitness use only. It is not a medical device, is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition, and is not a substitute for professional medical advice.
