About
privid records videos that stay private — encrypted on your device. No Photos library, no sharing. Ever. • PIN lock: nothing is visible until you enter your PIN. The app re-locks the moment you leave it. • Encrypted on device: every recording is encrypted as it is captured — no unencrypted copy ever touches the disk, and recordings never appear in the Files app or your photo library. • Backup & device transfer: your encrypted library can be included in your iCloud or computer backup (on by default, can be turned off). A recovery code shown at setup brings everything back on a new iPhone — backups only ever contain encrypted data. • Record with pause and resume, in portrait or landscape. • Organize into folders with drag & drop and give recordings custom titles. • Built-in trimmer: cut out sections and keep edited versions as a version history alongside the original. • Screen-recording protection: the video is hidden while the screen is being captured. • Auto-wipe: after repeated wrong PIN entries, all videos are deleted. privid collects nothing and sends nothing. Your videos never leave your device unencrypted. Try everything free for 7 days. After that, unlock privid with a single one-time purchase — no subscription. Your existing videos stay playable either way: you can always watch, rename and delete them.
