About
AADLab Vigil is an independent, interactive training simulator that recreates the on-device interface of a modern skydiving Automatic Activation Device (AAD), modelled on the Vigil 2 Cuatro, so you can learn how it works without a real unit in your hands. Whether you are a student building confidence, a licensed jumper getting familiar with the device, or an instructor demonstrating setup, AADLab Vigil lets you press the button, read the dot-matrix display, and work through the full configuration flow as many times as you like. GUIDED TRAINING LESSONS Hands-on, step-by-step lessons for each task: - Switching the device on and off - Reading the device information screens - Selecting the operating mode (Pro, Student, Tandem, Xtreme) - Setting the measurement units - Adjusting the altitude correction (Alt Cor) for the landing area - Flipping the display orientation DECISION SCENARIOS Realistic situations that test the method, not just the buttons. Work out the right mode and altitude correction for different take-off and landing elevations, and learn to recognise when a jump falls outside the device's limits. PLAYGROUND A free-play device you can set up however you like (mode, units, altitude correction, display orientation and more) to explore at your own pace. BUILT FOR SKYDIVERS - Faithful recreation of the LCD dot-matrix display and control button - Works entirely offline, with no account and no data collection - Available in English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese and Russian - Calm, customisable animated backgrounds IMPORTANT AADLab Vigil is an independent educational tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or developed by AAD nv/sa (Advanced Aerospace Designs), the manufacturer of the Vigil. It is not a replacement for the official Vigil 2 Cuatro User's Manual, and not a substitute for proper training from a certified instructor. The simulator approximates the device interface for educational purposes only, and behaviour may differ from the real unit. Always consult an instructor certified by your national parachuting authority before operating an actual AAD. Vigil and Vigil Cuatro are registered trademarks of AAD nv/sa (Advanced Aerospace Designs).
