Ridgeline is a mountain identifier for iPhone. Point your camera at the skyline and Ridgeline labels every named summit on the horizon — named, distance-tagged, and aligned to true north. Load an area once and it keeps working with no signal. POINT AND IDENTIFY Raise your phone and a clean augmented-reality overlay labels the peaks in front of you. Tap any label for a detail card with elevation, distance, true bearing, and prominence where available. ORIENTATION THAT ACTUALLY WORKS A visible, one-tap calibration flow lets you align the labels to the real horizon — Ridgeline then solves for the residual compass error. WORKS OFFLINE ONCE LOADED The first time you open an area, Ridgeline looks up the nearby summits and caches them on device, so returning to that area works without a connection. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Camera frames are processed on device and never uploaded. To name peaks, your location is sent to the OpenStreetMap Overpass service to look up nearby summits; the results are cached on your device. No accounts, no ads, no tracking.
