About
Most maps show you a dot. This one tells you who watched for smoke from up there. Fire Lookouts is an offline guide to America's historic fire lookout towers — the mountaintop cabins where rangers, poets and volunteers have scanned the horizon for a century. Every lookout with its own story, narrated aloud, and how to reach it. • Hear each lookout's history read aloud — narrated at every tower • 100 lookouts across 20 states, on one map, sorted by distance to you • See which lookouts you can rent overnight, with a link to book • Real visiting info — drive-up or hike-in, elevation and access • Auto-play a lookout's story as you arrive — optional, hands-free • Works completely offline — built for the backcountry Free to explore three lookouts, with a one-time unlock for the full national collection — no subscription. Check weather, road and fire-season closures before you travel — lookouts sit on exposed summits.
