About
DeskJot is a capture-first memo app for internal IT helpdesks. Jot down requests the moment they're spoken, and on-device AI suggests how to handle them—while color-coded categories and status tracking keep anything from slipping. Everything runs on your device; nothing is sent externally. ■ Speak or type, captured instantly Just talk to dictate (on-device recognition), or type it. Add voice partway through and your typed text stays put. One-tap quick phrases speed up common requests, and you can start a new memo in one tap from the Lock Screen, Control Center, the Action button, or Siri Shortcuts. ■ On-device AI "suggested handling" From what you enter, DeskJot surfaces a triage flow, things to confirm, and the exact commands. With few clues it assembles First response / Check / Risk. It runs on a built-in IT knowledge base of 75 resolution flows, 882 commands, and 97 topics—nothing leaves your device. ■ A home screen that shows what to do now See counts for Overdue, Due today, and Open at a glance. Tap a card to jump straight to that filtered list or the calendar. A "Needs attention" section gathers urgent memos in priority order. ■ Due-date reminders Memos with a due date are announced once at your chosen time (on-device local notifications), so nothing gets forgotten. Toggle reminders and set the time in Settings. ■ 8 categories, auto color-coded (precision-first) Network / Account / Security / Printer / Hardware / Mail / On-Off-boarding / File Sharing. When unsure, it stays "Uncategorized" rather than guessing—fix it with one tap. ■ Status, resolution notes, and requester Manage progress with Open / In-Progress / Resolved. Log what you did in resolution notes and record the requester too. In the list, filter by status or category, search with normalized matching, and swipe to resolve or reopen. ■ See due dates on the calendar The month view shows category-colored dots, with overdue highlighted in red. Tap a day to view or add its memos. ■ Export to CSV or Markdown Export all memos as CSV or Markdown (available on the free plan). The file is generated on-device, then handed to whatever destination you choose in the share sheet (Files, iCloud Drive, other apps). ■ Made for iPad On iPad, DeskJot adapts to a sidebar with a two-pane layout: browse the memo list and its detail side by side, and view the month alongside the selected day's memos. ■ Fully offline, privacy-first No analytics, ads, or tracking. Memos stay on device and the developer can't access them. Premium iCloud sync stays within Apple iCloud—never our own servers. ■ JA/EN, Light/Dark, multi-device Switch language (Japanese/English), supports Light/Dark appearance and text size, on iPhone and iPad. — Pricing — Free: up to 30 memos, with voice capture, suggested handling, color-coding, status, calendar, reminders, and export. Premium (one-time, no subscription): unlimited memos and iCloud sync across devices. Unlocked with a single purchase. — Note — "Suggested handling" is reference information. Act at your own discretion, ideally with a test environment and backups.
