About

Record your lectures and turn each one into flashcards and a quiz. Tap any card or quiz answer to hear the exact moment of the lecture it came from. StudyTape saves your recording to your device every few seconds while you record, writes the transcript as your professor speaks, and makes the study set right on your device. No account, nothing uploaded. Study sets are made by the on-device AI of newer devices; recording, transcripts, search and review work on every supported device. A STUDY SET FROM EVERY CLASS • A short summary, key terms, flashcards and a multiple-choice quiz for each lecture • Every card and quiz answer has a time stamp: tap ▶ 23:41 to hear it said in class • Cards are drawn from the whole lecture, not just the first minutes, and you can edit any of them • Long-press any line of the transcript to make your own card from that moment • Start with a sample lecture and its study set before you record anything REVIEW WHAT YOU MISSED FIRST • Review one lecture or a whole course before the exam, missed cards first • Flip a card, then Got it or Again, and see how many you know • Take each lecture's quiz and hear the source of every answer • Cards come back on a spaced schedule so they stick RECORD WITHOUT WORRY • One tap to record, even with the screen locked or while you use other apps • Saved to your device as you record, and recovered if the app closes mid-lecture • Live transcript while you record, for lectures up to 4 hours • Pause and resume whenever class takes a break BRING THE RECORDINGS YOU ALREADY HAVE • Import audio or video files, including recordings made in other apps • Each import gets a transcript and a study set, with progress you can follow FIND ANY MOMENT • Keep lectures in courses; StudyTape picks the course from your usual class time • Search every lecture for a term and jump to where it was said • Play back at 0.5x to 2x, skip 15 seconds, or tap a transcript line to hear it YOURS TO KEEP • Export transcripts as text or Markdown, cards as a tab-separated file for other flashcard apps, and the audio itself • Share a card as an image with a classmate PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No account and no sign-in • Audio, transcripts and study sets stay on your device • No ads and no tracking Please check your school's and your instructor's recording policy before recording a class.
