About
The game of Go (Weiqi / Baduk), made for kids! Coach Mochi the orange cat helps out: green marks good moves, red warns "about to be captured" — so children see every move. Start with Capture Go, the funnest way in: capture a stone and you win, easy from game one. ‧ Coach Mochi is right on the board: confetti when you capture, a gentle pat when you're caught, and a nervous sweat when your stones are in danger. Zero frustration, all encouragement. ‧ Hints you can read: green = good / capture, red = in danger, blue = connect your stones, blue star = best move (with icons and text, not color alone). ‧ See the liberties: tap a stone and little breath clouds appear on every liberty; a stone with one breath left trembles; breath bars beside the board show who is in trouble. ‧ Three modes: Beginner guidance (Capture Go), Improve (territory and scoring), and Real Match (an on-device KataGo neural-net opponent). ‧ A different computer every game: random openings, and an attacking or defending style you can choose — practice defense and offense. ‧ Puzzle quest: 20 capture puzzles in five kinds — atari, capture, escape, ladder, making eyes — unlocked level by level. ‧ Daily quest: built from your child's most common mistake — miss captures often, and today's quest is capturing; forget to rescue, and today it's rescuing. ‧ Shape codex: play a tiger's mouth, bamboo joint or ponnuki and it joins the collection; an empty triangle gets a friendly nudge. ‧ Something to keep even when you lose: the result screen lists the game's achievements — stones captured, moves survived, a closer margin, the best move. ‧ Cat-vs-shiba animal stones (switch back to classic any time), bouncing stones, captured stones float away as bubbles, confetti when you win. ‧ Bilingual: Traditional Chinese + English, in both text and voice; voice can be fully turned off. ‧ Thoughtful: respects the silent switch, supports VoiceOver and Dynamic Type, motion can be reduced. For parents: ‧ The parent zone sits behind a parental gate (a 3-digit multiplication question young children cannot answer). ‧ Daily play-time limit, allowed hours, lock now / temporary unlock. ‧ Play reports and weak-point analysis (self-atari, missed captures, unrescued stones), exportable as CSV. ‧ Import your own line (SGF) as a coach opponent. Completely free. 100% offline, no ads, no data collected. The parent zone has an optional "buy the developer a coffee" tip jar; it unlocks nothing and children cannot reach it. Plays on iPhone, iPad and Mac. Ages 4+.
