About
Looking up a Hebrew word usually means juggling a few apps: one for the translation, one for the vowels, another for the verb forms. AlefBet puts all of that on one card. Search any of the 11,000+ words and you will get the vowel points (nikud), the transcription, the part of speech, the root, and for verbs the binyan with past, present and future. Most words come with example sentences so you can see how they're actually used. Still learning the alphabet? Type the word the way it sounds. Search "shalom", "toda" or "bayit" and AlefBet finds it. No Hebrew keyboard needed. To help words stick there are flashcards you swipe through by level or by letter, plus a short quiz to check yourself. Anything you want to come back to goes into Favorites. The dictionary leans toward words people actually use, with extra attention to what new immigrants and ulpan students reach for first: greetings, numbers, food, shopping, paperwork, health and the rest of daily life. Words are grouped by level from A1 to C2. It all works offline, so the whole dictionary stays on your phone with or without a connection. There's a light theme and a dark one. AlefBet Pro opens the full dictionary, removes the favorites limit and unlocks every flashcard level and quiz. The first 7 days are free. The Hebrew here is the modern kind, spelled the way you'll actually see it today. Terms of Use (EULA): https://alefbet.tech/terms Privacy Policy: https://alefbet.tech/privacy
