THE PRACTITIONER LAYER. Seven things the engine could already do, and now you can see: synastry, composite charts, secondary progressions, solar and lunar returns, essential dignities, chart shape and midpoints. ONE CHART, FOUR WAYS The chart you open now has four readings - Wheel, Bi-wheel, Analysis and Returns. The bi-wheel's outer ring is yours to choose: today's transits, a progressed chart, a return, or another person entirely. Same wheel, same numbers, no extra screens to learn. COMPARE TWO CHARTS Open someone's chart, tap Compare, pick a second. Cross-aspects ranked by orb, or the midpoint composite - two readings of the same pair. Recent pairs stay at the top of the picker. DIGNITIES, SHAPE AND BALANCE Every classical planet scored against Lilly's tables, with the seven-condition breakdown. The chart's pattern and its handle. Elemental and modal balance. Midpoint axes, both ends, with opposed pairs flagged rather than dropped. HONEST ABOUT WHAT IT CANNOT KNOW An unknown birth time now limits every feature honestly, not just houses. Moon contacts carry the range the missing time leaves open instead of a falsely precise orb; dignities show both candidate scores when the Moon could have crossed a sign that day; returns say they need an exact moment rather than offering a plausible date. ALSO: your Apple Watch can show the next return for one chart you nominate.

About
Ephemeris Sky turns any moment in time into a precise picture of the solar system - and the cycles that drive astrology. NATAL CHARTS Save a birth chart with its exact date, time and place, and read it four ways: the chart wheel, every planetary position, every aspect ranked by exactness, and the twelve houses. Compare a saved chart with the sky right now - the natal ring inside, today's transits outside, cross-aspects drawn between them. Birth time unknown? Positions still compute. Houses and angles are left out with an explanation rather than quietly calculated from an assumed noon. Your charts are small files in your own iCloud Drive. Visible in the Files app, synced across your devices, yours to copy, export or back up - not locked inside the app. THE PRACTITIONER LAYER Synastry, composite, progressions, solar and lunar returns, essential dignities, chart shape and midpoints - all inside the chart you already have open, not behind seven separate screens. Compare two saved charts: pick a partner and read the cross-aspects ranked by orb, or switch to the midpoint composite. Put today's sky, a progressed chart, a return or another person's chart on the outer ring of the same wheel. Score every classical planet against Lilly's dignity tables. See the chart's pattern, its elemental and modal balance, and every midpoint axis. Unknown birth time is handled honestly throughout, not just for houses. Moon contacts are tagged with the range the missing time leaves open rather than printed as a false precision, dignity scores show both candidates when the Moon could have changed sign that day, and returns say plainly that they need an exact moment. HOUSES & ANGLES Ascendant, Midheaven, Descendant and IC, plus all twelve house cusps in six systems: Placidus, Koch, Whole Sign, Equal, Campanus and Regiomontanus. Cusps and angles are drawn right on the wheel, and the table lists every cusp by sign and degree. Enter a place by name or coordinates - nothing is looked up online. POSITIONS Real geocentric positions for the Sun, Moon, and the planets out to Pluto - tropical, referred to the equinox of date, the same convention professional astrology software uses. See each body's sign, exact degree and minute, and daily motion, with retrograde clearly marked. ASPECTS Every aspect between the planets - conjunction, sextile, square, trine, opposition - computed from the positions and ranked by exactness. Move the orb slider to widen or tighten what counts. SYNODIC CYCLE (the part most apps skip) Track each planet's full cycle relative to the Sun: inferior and superior conjunctions, the retrograde and direct stations (the famous "U-turns"), and greatest elongations - each with a real date. ACCURACY YOU CAN CHECK Positions are validated against NASA/JPL Horizons across 1900-2100: better than 7 arcminutes for every body, typically under 2. Houses are exact spherical trig, with sidereal time and obliquity pinned to published worked examples. We publish the numbers instead of asking you to trust us. WHY EPHEMERIS SKY - Accurate astronomy computed entirely on your device - No account, no sign-up, no ads, no tracking, no subscription - Works fully offline - Buy once, use forever - on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch Whether you are an astrologer keeping charts for clients, tracking transits and retrogrades, or just curious where the planets are tonight, Ephemeris Sky gives you the real numbers - beautifully.
