About

The device you need can be broadcasting nearby under a name you do not recognize. Start a scan where you expect it, filter and sort the live devices, then watch its Signal (RSSI) respond as you move. The active list refreshes every half-second with available names, inferred types, manufacturers, and RSSI. A device disappears after 12 seconds without another broadcast, so the list stays centered on the radio environment right now instead of becoming a permanent packet record. Pick one identifier and the radar smooths RSSI into three practical proximity bands: very close, close, and far. If the same identifier is not detected for five seconds, it reports signal lost rather than claiming a direction it never measured. When a peripheral accepts a connection, Services & characteristics shows the GATT structure it actually exposes. Values actually read from characteristics that report read support appear as hexadecimal bytes with printable ASCII when appropriate. Notifications from characteristics that report notify or indicate support can be monitored when the peripheral delivers them. Opening a device from the live list attempts to add or update it in a local list for renaming, revisiting, or deletion; each successful write keeps the 200 most recent records. Scanning is limited to current BLE broadcasts while the app is in the foreground and Bluetooth is powered and authorized. RSSI provides rough proximity guidance, not compass direction, GPS location, or calibrated distance. GATT inspection depends on a compatible, connectable peripheral and is not classic Bluetooth pairing or universal control for every product. Scan history, device naming and revisiting past discoveries are available without upgrading. Deep GATT inspection and radar finding each include one complimentary use. Advanced actions such as writing GATT characteristics and exporting CSV can be unlocked with a subscription.
