About
Sight reading should feel musical, and feedback should tell the truth. Soloist Sight Reading helps practising musicians build reliable reading fluency with focused staff drills and source-identified public-domain excerpts. Play through the microphone or connect a wired or Bluetooth MIDI keyboard. Both inputs use the same note-and-timing grading. If the evidence is unclear, Soloist says it could not hear enough to grade instead of inventing a wrong note. READ EVERY CLEF • Treble, bass, alto, tenor and grand staff, with ledger lines, key signatures and intervals. • Solfege and German note names, plus landmark hints you can turn off as fluency grows. • Play-or-sing drills listen on your device: play the written note on your instrument, sing it, or use a MIDI keyboard. Any octave counts. READ RHYTHM FROM REAL NOTATION • Quarters, halves, whole notes, dotted notes, eighths, sixteenths, triplets and rests, in 4/4 and 3/4. • Name the count, hear the bar, then tap it back and see whether you were early, on time or late. BUILD A READING SCORE • Take a short escalating assessment with one 100–999 score and a progress curve. • Preview an exam-style excerpt, then complete one honest take. • Use vanishing notation to train your eyes to read ahead of the playhead. • Bring exact note and rhythm errors back on an adaptive review schedule. FREE EVERY DAY, PAY ONCE FOR PRO The free tier includes an ongoing daily drill: landmark notes, note naming, key signatures and rhythm. It is not a countdown trial. Soloist Sight Pro Lifetime is one purchase with no subscription. It unlocks Reading Score assessments, Exam Mode, adaptive mastery review, every drill family, custom studio drills and teacher reports. The price comes from the App Store for your region, and Restore Purchases is always available. PRIVATE PRACTICE Listening and MIDI interpretation run on your device. Practice audio and MIDI performances are not recorded or uploaded. No ads, no account, and no sale of personal data. Terms of Use: https://playsoloist.com/terms
