Film Slate Pro is a digital clapperboard and shot logging app for iPad, built for film, television, and commercial production. It replaces a physical slate with a full-screen board the camera can film directly, and it keeps working between "roll" and "cut": every clap logs the take with running timecode, captures a snapshot of the board, and stores it in a searchable shot log - all completely offline. THE DIGITAL SLATE - Authentic high-contrast clapperboard that always fills the screen at any font size. - Production, Roll, Scene, Shot, Take, Director, Cameraman, Date and Time - the full slate identity is saved with every take. - Tap any value on the board to rewrite it in place: every editable field is framed by a light-gray outline. Type with the keyboard, or write with an Apple Pencil while iPadOS converts your handwriting to text on the device - outlines are a screen-only guide and never appear in captured snapshots. - A full editor page lets you fill in every field at once; TAKE is a true auto-incrementing counter. - Three slate font sizes: Small, Medium, Large. CLAP - Tap the clapper stick for a cinematic marker: on a full-screen white stage the striped stick splits into two blades, opens on its left hinge, holds the pose, and slams shut - with sound, haptics, and one inverted frame at the moment of the clap. - Each clap freezes the timecode, captures a clean board snapshot, and logs the shot automatically. - TAKE advances with every clap and resets with one tap. TIMECODE - Generates running timecode at 23.976, 24, 25, 29.97, 30, 50, and 60 fps. - Jam sync sets the counter to a camera or recorder start time. SHOT LOG - Every take is kept with its board snapshot, scene, take, timecode, and date - snapshot cards show the whole board, never cropped, in any orientation, or a compact text list. - Search, add notes, review details, and delete shots from one full-screen page. - Export from one menu: CSV Only, or CSV + Board Images - the text log (Date, Time, Production, Roll, Scene, Shot, Take, Director, Cameraman, Timecode, Notes) plus every snapshot as a full-resolution PNG named by date, scene, and take. Share via AirDrop, Mail, Messages, or Files. ON SET - Dark or Light appearance, inverted board colors, keep-awake mode, and Apple Pencil hover effects. - Everything works offline, ideal for location work with no signal. PRIVACY FIRST Film Slate Pro is fully offline. There is no account, no ads, no analytics, and no tracking. All production data, shot logs, snapshots, and preferences stay on your iPad, and the app requests no permissions. Handwriting written with an Apple Pencil is converted to text on your device by iPadOS and is never uploaded anywhere. Film Slate Pro requires iPadOS 16.0 or later and is designed for iPad.
