Important safety correction: the ibuprofen dosing table was wrong for every weight band and has been corrected to the American Academy of Pediatrics chart. Always check the dose on your product's label. If you used the old table and are unsure about a dose you gave, call your doctor or pharmacist. What's new: - Choose your ibuprofen: infant drops (50 mg/1.25 mL) or children's liquid (100 mg/5 mL). Every amount shows the mg next to the mL. If your bottle shows another strength, follow its label. - Acetaminophen amounts for 12-23 lb now say: under 2 years, ask your doctor. - Daily maximum check: Brace now counts each medicine's doses over the last 24 hours. When the maximum is reached (5 doses of acetaminophen, 4 of ibuprofen), it shows when the next dose can be given, and the reminder waits until then. Earlier versions only counted the hours since the last dose. - Other medicines: follow the interval on their label. - AI Sick Day Guide: Brace now asks your permission before anything is sent, shows exactly what is shared, and never sends your child's name. You can change your choice in Profile > Settings.

About
Brace is the family sick day companion: a calm place to keep track when a child is sick at home. DOSE TIMERS WITH A 24-HOUR COUNT Never wonder "when was the last Tylenol?" at 2 AM again. Log acetaminophen, ibuprofen, a prescribed antibiotic or any other medicine. For acetaminophen and ibuprofen, Brace counts down the time between doses from the American Academy of Pediatrics charts (every 4 hours for acetaminophen, every 6 hours for ibuprofen) and counts the doses given in the last 24 hours. When the daily maximum is reached (5 doses of acetaminophen, 4 of ibuprofen), it shows when the next dose can be given, and the reminder waits until then. If your product's label says otherwise, follow the label. For any other medicine, follow the interval on its label. FEVER LOG WITH VISUAL TIMELINE Plot every temperature reading on a timeline. See the pattern at a glance: when the fever peaks, when medication is working, and when it's trending down. Supports Fahrenheit and Celsius. SYMPTOM TIMELINE Log symptoms as they evolve, from "warm forehead, not finishing dinner" on Day 0 to "fever improving, drinking fluids" on Day 3. Build a clear picture of the illness to share with your pediatrician. SHOULD I CALL THE DOCTOR? Stop second-guessing yourself at 2 AM. The built-in guide lists emergency red flags, reasons to call your pediatrician today, and what you can watch at home. Not a diagnosis: a guide for when to seek professional care. SICK DAY LOGISTICS The checklist every parent forgets in the chaos: call the school, arrange childcare, notify work, check medication supplies, cancel commitments. Check items off as you go. DOSING REFERENCE Weight-based amounts from the American Academy of Pediatrics dosing charts, built into the app: acetaminophen 160 mg/5 mL, and ibuprofen as infant drops (50 mg/1.25 mL) or children's liquid (100 mg/5 mL). Choose your product and see the amount in mL with the mg next to it. If your bottle shows another strength, follow its label. Always check the dose on your product's label, and ask your doctor before giving acetaminophen to a child under 2 or ibuprofen to a baby under 6 months. ILLNESS REFERENCE Quick reference guides for common childhood illnesses: cold, flu, stomach bug, strep throat, ear infection and RSV. Typical duration, key symptoms, and when to call the doctor. PRO FEATURES - Multi-child tracking: manage episodes for multiple children at the same time - Illness history: review all past illness episodes - AI Sick Day Guide: general answers to your questions from xAI's Grok, sent only after you allow it and never with your child's name. General information, not medical advice. DESIGNED FOR 2 AM One-tap logging. Dark mode that won't blind you in a dark bedroom. Logging and the references work without Wi-Fi.
