About

Undercoat is the all-in-one workshop notebook for miniature and model painters. Inventory, projects, recipes, cross-brand matching and stats — finally in a single, beautiful app instead of five separate ones. EVERY PAINT, IN ONE RACK • Build your collection from a built-in multi-brand catalog (Citadel, Vallejo, The Army Painter, Scale75 and more) • Add paints by search, by hand, or scan a barcode in seconds • See your whole rack as a grid of real-color swatches • Track what's full, running low, or out — and get an automatic shopping list CROSS-BRAND EQUIVALENCES THAT ACTUALLY WORK • Find the closest paint in any other brand using real color science (CIEDE2000), not rough RGB guesses • "Closest paint in MY stock" — match any color to what you already own PROJECTS THAT KEEP YOU PAINTING • Track every model from bought → assembled → primed → in progress → finished • Progress rings, work-in-progress photo journals, and time logged per session • Watch your army's "% painted" climb across units COLOR RECIPES, LINKED TO YOUR PAINTS • Save your schemes step by step: basecoat, wash, layer, highlight • Every step links to a paint you actually own — no more guessing what you used • A visual swatch fingerprint for each recipe STATS & STREAKS • Models per month, painting streaks, an activity heatmap and badges • The gentle nudge that turns a backlog into finished minis UNDERCOAT PRO A generous free tier lets you build a real collection.
