About
Prepare for Japan’s foreign-license conversion test with a study routine you can make your own. Gaimen brings written practice, practical driving guidance, your paperwork and focused review together in one calm place, so you can study a little today, return to what needs work, and walk into the test center prepared. Start with Today’s recommended 15-question plan, choose a written or Driving focus, or jump straight into Learn. The written course includes 504 original true/false questions across 20 topics. Every answer includes a clear explanation and source references, helping you understand the road rule instead of memorizing a bare answer. Study content is available offline, with no account required. When you want a realistic check-in, take a timed 50-question mock in 30 minutes. It uses the in-app 45/50 pass bar and shows where your practice needs attention. Missed written questions can return through scheduled Review, while recent full-mock results can surface recurring weak topics for another focused drill. Set an optional test date to keep your plan visible on Today and Driving, and change it whenever your schedule changes. Optional study reminders can prompt your daily plan, count down to your test date, and warn you before a written pass runs out. They are local notifications that you switch on or off in Settings. When your test date has passed, Today asks how it went. Pass, and you can share a 合格 card. If you need another attempt, set a new date and keep everything you studied. The Documents checklist is open to everyone. It covers where your license was issued, the documents to bring, the JAF translation, and links to the license pages of all 47 prefectural police forces, with the date the list was last checked. Your prefecture's police page stays the authority. Driving prepares you for the practical side of foreign-license conversion with 77 scenarios, safety routines, a deduction rulebook, and course guides. Missed scenarios come back on a spaced schedule in Driving review, with the relevant rule in view. Hear 46 typical examiner phrases in Japanese with audio, then check your ear with a listening quiz (six phrases are open to everyone). The safety routines are read aloud in all six languages, and the Course day guide includes My route: build the route you were given and drill what comes next at each step. All audio ships inside the app, so it works offline. Without a purchase you get 30 written starter questions, one full mock, 12 Driving scenarios, the instant-fail list, reminders and the Documents checklist. Driving is a separate one-time purchase for the practical content only. Pro is a separate one-time purchase that includes the written course and Driving. There are no subscriptions. Existing owners keep their access and progress. If you already own Driving, you can upgrade to Pro later with a separate one-time upgrade purchase. Switch between English, 日本語, 中文, Tiếng Việt, Português, and नेपाली on any question. Gaimen is an independent study aid, with original questions based on public sources. It is not affiliated with any police or government body. Requirements and procedures can change, so confirm current details with your test center.
