C&O Canal Quarters

About

C&O Canal Quarters is the official companion app for guests staying in the C&O Canal Trust's historic lockhouses along the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal. When you book a Canal Quarters stay, you're spending the night in a piece of American history—a lockhouse that once sheltered the families of canal workers in the 19th century. This app puts everything you need for your visit in one place, from arrival instructions to local tips, so you can spend less time looking things up and more time enjoying the canal. WHAT YOU CAN DO • View your upcoming and past stays, with property details and dates at a glance • Get your door code and check-in instructions for each reservation • Browse FAQs covering arrival, departure, amenities, and lockhouse-specific details • Find contact information for Trust staff for both general questions and urgent needs • Read about the history of each lockhouse and its place in canal life DESIGNED FOR THE CANAL Cell service can be spotty along the towpath, so the app keeps key information cached on your phone. You'll have your door code, arrival instructions, and the most important FAQs even when you're outside of signal range. ABOUT THE C&O CANAL TRUST The C&O Canal Trust is the official nonprofit partner of the C&O Canal National Historical Park. Through the Canal Quarters program, the Trust restores and operates historic lockhouses as overnight rentals, with proceeds supporting preservation work along the 184.5-mile canal.
