COMMON QUESTIONS How does it work out the fare? From GPS distance and elapsed time together, the same way a real meter does. You enter the rates; the app does the arithmetic on every trip. Can I match my local tariff? Yes, and you have to: the rates are yours to set. Day, night and weekend tariffs are separate, and extras cover luggage, airport, waiting time and any extra you name yourself. Is it approved as a taximeter? No. It is a tool for your own records and for showing a passenger how a fare was reached. A meter that has to be legal for hire is sealed and certified by your local authority, and a phone is not that. Can I give the passenger a receipt? Yes. Each trip exports as a PDF receipt, and the whole log exports as CSV or PDF for your accounts and your tax return. Does it drain the battery on a long shift? It uses GPS continuously, so keep it on the car charger for a full shift.
