Your station now watches the sky for you, and the air you breathe made the dashboard. • Smart alerts: sudden temperature drops, wind ramp-ups, gust fronts, and sustained pipe-freeze cold, detected from your own station's readings. Related alerts arriving together group into a single "front passage" notification, and the first frost of the season gets a once-a-year heads-up. • Alert urgency: every threshold alert can be Minor, Standard, or Urgent. Urgent alerts break through quiet hours; minor ones wait for morning. • Quiet hours and a daily digest: overnight, only urgent alerts push. One morning email summarizes everything that fired. • Government severe weather alerts now push through your own server, so a Severe Thunderstorm Warning reaches you even with the app closed. One push per alert, however many stations you run. • Lightning alerts for stations that detect strikes: first strike, closing strikes, and a 30-minute all clear. • Station health: sensor battery low and recovered, sensors gone quiet, and stuck-sensor detection (a humidity gauge pegged for hours, an anemometer that stopped turning). • Storm Watch on your Lock Screen: a Live Activity tracks rain total, rate, and peak gust for the storm in progress, and you can start one manually when you see it coming. Hot days get an all-day tracker with the running high. • Share to weather networks: send your readings to PWSWeather, Windy, WeatherCloud, and CWOP (where your data feeds NOAA's forecast models). Each network shows its last successful send right on the row. • Air quality: AirGradient monitors join the dashboard as their own compact card with AQI, PM2.5, CO2, and TVOC. Indoor and outdoor. • Backyard Science: a new History pane computes wet bulb, frost point, spray conditions, fire-weather indices, density altitude, and what a 1920s barometer would say about tomorrow. • Your data, your rules: one-tap CSV export of every stored reading, and webhooks that POST each alert to your own automations, signed. • Alerts & Notifications settings reorganized into clear sections, with storm summaries front and center. • New Lock Screen widget faces, chart deep links from every widget, a Control Center button, and instant widget refreshes on iOS 26. • For the tinkerers: the server now ships a read-only MCP connector, so you can ask an AI assistant about your stations, records, and alerts. • Apple Watch layout refinements and many smaller fixes.

About

Zasder Weather is a clean, fast app for personal weather stations available on iPhone, Apple Watch, and Mac. One Universal Purchase includes every platform. Bring your own backend, connect the app, and choose where your station history is stored. Your weather data remains under your control, without vendor lock-in. No ads. No tracking. No subscriptions. WORKS WITH YOUR STATION • AMBIENT WEATHER Retrieve station data from the Ambient Weather Network cloud. • DAVIS WEATHERLINK Use cloud polling or run a lightweight LAN poller alongside a WeatherLink Live for updates approximately every two seconds. • WEATHERFLOW TEMPEST Connect using a free personal access token, including support for lightning strike data. • DIRECT RF CAPTURE A LilyGO board costing approximately $20 can decode AcuRite Atlas sensors on 433 MHz or Fine Offset, Ecowitt, and Ambient Weather sensors on 915 MHz—directly from the air. Optional discovery mode also supports La Crosse, Oregon Scientific, and approximately 180 other station types, with no vendor cloud required. Cloud integrations can be configured directly from Settings → Integrations, with no manual server configuration required. POWERFUL WEATHER FEATURES • INSTANT RECORDS Monthly, yearly, and all-time highs and lows load in under a second—even with years of station history. • LIGHTNING TRACKING Stations with a lightning detector get a live strike tile, detailed charts, and a “Most Strikes in an Hour” record. • STORM SUMMARIES After the rain ends, receive one notification showing total rainfall, peak rain rate, temperature drop, and top wind gust. • SHARE YOUR WEATHER Create read-only links for family and friends. One tap configures their app. Name each link, see who has access, and revoke access individually. • QUICK SETUP Configure a new device with one pasted code or tapped setup link. No more manually copying URLs and access tokens. • CUSTOM ALERTS Create thresholds for any weather reading. Alerts are evaluated by your backend, allowing email and push notifications to arrive even when the app is closed. • DETAILED INSIGHTS Explore daily statistics, heat and cold ledgers, gaps between rain events, and a yearly weather heat map calculated by your server. • COMPLETE HISTORY Explore any day in your station history, import years of previous observations from Weather Underground, or forward live readings to Weather Underground. • INTERACTIVE CHARTS View nine weather readings across periods ranging from one hour to seven days. Drag to inspect any point and explore wind direction with a 16-sector wind rose. • APPLE WATCH APP View your stations from your wrist with configurable complications for temperature, feels-like temperature, wind, UV index, and more. • HOME SCREEN AND LOCK SCREEN WIDGETS See your station’s current conditions at a glance. Each widget can be edited to display the readings you choose. • ONE-TAP SERVER UPDATES See your backend version in Settings and install updates with one tap—or enable automatic updates and never think about it again. • ACCESSIBLE TEXT Text scales throughout the app using your preferred Dynamic Type setting. • FLEXIBLE APPEARANCE Choose light, dark, or automatic appearance. Back up your settings and restore them on another device. • CUSTOMIZABLE UNITS Choose °F or °C; mph, km/h, knots, m/s, or Beaufort; inches or millimeters; and inHg or hPa. • SEVEN-DAY FORECAST View a seven-day forecast with a written daily weather summary. OPEN-SOURCE BACKEND The Zasder Weather backend is available under the MIT License: https://github.com/volneydouglas/zasder-weather-backend Run it affordably on Fly.io or deploy it with Docker on a Raspberry Pi. A setup script and the web-based planner at zasder.com/weather-helper guide you through the process in minutes. After setup, the app can keep your server updated automatically. PRIVACY BY DESIGN The app communicates only with the backend URL you configure. There are no ads, no tracking, and no subscriptions.
