About
SpiceTalk is a game-like app for one thing: understanding Indian English. You speak English fine, but on calls with colleagues in Bangalore or Pune you hear "prepone", "kindly revert", "do the needful" or "I am out of station" and lose the thread. SpiceTalk fixes that in 3 minutes a day. Who it's for - Engineers and PMs working with offshore teams in India - Managers, founders and sales teams with Indian clients or vendors - Anyone moving to, traveling to, or living in India - Anyone with Indian friends or family who wants to follow every "yaar" and "achha" How it works 1. Short sentences, lots of reps Each lesson takes about 3 minutes. Listen to a short Indian English line, then pick the meaning, choose what you heard, build the sentence from word tiles, fill in the blank, or match pairs. The format keeps changing, so it never gets boring. 2. 100% Indian English Prepone, do the needful, revert, kindly, out of station, yaar, achha, jugaad, cutting chai, cousin brother and more. 8 units, 70+ phrases and 240+ example sentences from the office, meetings, chat, the street, food and family life. 3. Train your ears Arjun and Priya speak every line in Indian English voices. Missed it? Replay it in turtle-slow mode. Sentences you get wrong come back later, and Practice focuses on your mistakes. 4. Built to keep you going - Daily streaks and streak freezes - XP and a daily goal you choose - Fresh daily quests every day - Collect 24 picture cards of India (Taj Mahal, masala chai and more) with XP and unit clears - Spend gems from chests and quests on XP boosts and gem-exclusive scenic cards (Goa, Darjeeling, Pangong Lake...) - Combos, sounds and celebrations for every correct answer 5. Always know the meaning After each answer you see the sentence and its plain-English meaning. Your phrasebook keeps every expression you've learned, with a short cultural tip. Units 1. First day at the office 2. Email and chat speak 3. Meetings and schedules 4. Fillers and tags (na?, yaar, achha) 5. Getting things done 6. Getting around town 7. Food and chai time 8. Home, family and daily life About the subscription Unit 1 is free. The Basic plan (paid subscription) unlocks every unit so you can collect every landmark card.
