New version 2.2 → 2.3

PaletteWright 2.3 brings method-aware color-vision review and constrained repair to the touch-first iPad workflow. • Adjust protan, deutan, and tritan severity with published Machado matrices and review Rec. 709 achromatopsia. • Rank semantic color collisions with affected-component and redundant-cue guidance. • Generate AA/AAA candidates while preserving locked roles and source stops. • Review every proposed change and its downstream impact before applying it. • Export adaptive Web and Apple handoff with method, color, and decision provenance.

About

PaletteWright™ turns captured and imported colors into accessible, versioned design systems for Mac and iPad. Start with colors from the Mac screen, iPad camera, Photos, websites, CSS, design-token files, palette formats, pasted values, or connected project folders. Shape precise ramps with perceptual OKLCH tools, assign semantic and component roles, validate the relationships your interface actually uses, and compile matching assets for design and development. ACCESSIBILITY WITH EXPLICIT CONTEXT Declare foreground and background token relationships for normal text, large text, non-text UI, graphics, or decorative use. Check Light, Dark, and Increased Contrast modes plus default, hover, pressed, and focus states. Results are reported as Pass, Fail, or Needs Review, so unknown alpha backgrounds and unresolved aliases are never disguised as certainty. WCAG 2.2 + SUPPLEMENTAL APCA Evaluate exact WCAG 2.2 contrast with tagged sRGB and Display-P3 colors, known alpha compositing, separate P3 and sRGB fallback results, and complete method provenance. Compare the WCAG decision with versioned, signed APCA Lc and typography guidance. APCA is shown as supplemental experimental guidance, not a WCAG 3 conformance claim. BUILD A COMPLETE COLOR SYSTEM • Capture, sample, paste, scan, import, or connect colors • Edit and lock exact stops • Generate perceptual OKLCH harmonies • Build semantic roles, component aliases, and theme modes • Preview practical interface components • Simulate color-vision conditions with published methods and adjustable severity • Rank semantic collisions and generate constrained repair candidates • Review accessibility and production-readiness audits • Create named releases with changelogs DESIGN AND CODE HANDOFF Export Figma Variables, DTCG and Style Dictionary tokens, adaptive CSS, Tailwind, shadcn/ui, SwiftUI, XML, Jetpack Compose, Flutter, React Native, Adobe ASE, previews, audit reports, and complete compile packages. On Mac, audit live Figma context, inspect WebKit-computed colors, scan supported source folders, and prepare exact, reviewable patches with stale-source protection and backups. MAC AND IPAD, ONE PROJECT MODEL Use Mac for screen capture, project-folder workflows, per-app copy formats, source-aware patching, Finder delivery, and complete packages. Use iPad for camera and image sampling, touch and Apple Pencil editing, multitasking review, ASE drag-out, and Share-based handoff. Projects, palettes, roles, modes, history, releases, and iCloud continuity span both platforms. CLI AND CI The public PaletteWright CLI applies the same declared-pair and color-engine model in repositories and automation. Deterministic text, JSON, and SARIF reports include token locations, method versions, thresholds, review reasons, and exact repair impact. PaletteWright Free includes unlimited capture and import, up to 10 custom or imported palettes in one project, basic validation, and unlimited PNG, CSS, core JSON, and Mandelbrot Metal exports. PaletteWright Pro unlocks unlimited projects and palettes, editable token systems, advanced validation and repair, releases, integrations, advanced exports, and complete packages.
