Plain Chess

About

Your next great move starts here. A game on the train. A rematch with a friend. That moment when a move finally makes sense. Plain Chess makes it easy to come back to the board. PLAY ANYWHERE Challenge the computer or pass your iPhone to a friend for a local two-player game. Your board works offline, so your next game needs no Wi-Fi. Pick one of six rivals, from beginner to expert, or a classic computer level, and pick up your saved game when you return. SOLVE A PUZZLE A DAY A new mate in 2 every day, plus thousands of checkmate puzzles from mate in 1 to mate in 3. Keep your streak going. After each game against the computer, review your accuracy and the key moments, like a missed mate, then try them as puzzles. Stuck mid-game? Tap Hint or Threats for a one-sentence explanation. UNDERSTAND YOUR NEXT MOVE Stuck between two ideas? Ask AI Coach about your position, explore a plan, or follow up when something does not click. Get explanations in everyday language, right beside your game. AI Coach needs an internet connection and can make mistakes. MAKE CHESS PART OF YOUR DAY Choose what you want to work on and set a practice goal that fits your life. A few thoughtful minutes at the board can be a habit worth keeping. No ads. No account to create. Just room to play. YOUR GAME. YOUR PLAN. Choose Plain Chess Annual for $19.99 per year, paid in full, or Plain Chess Monthly for $2.99 per month in the United States. Both plans include the full game and 10 AI credits EACH MONTH. Your first 10 credits are available when membership starts. Credits refresh on each monthly anniversary of your original membership start date while paid access is active. Changing plans keeps your current allowance and refill date. Annual members receive 10 credits each month, not 120 upfront. One successful AI Coach answer uses one credit, including follow-ups. Unused monthly credits do not roll over. Optional purchased extra credits never expire. Prices in other regions are shown in the app before purchase. New players need a subscription to play the full game. If you bought Plain Chess before the subscription release, you keep the gameplay you already purchased; the monthly AI allowance requires a subscription. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at purchase confirmation. The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel your subscription in Apple Account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.
