Galley is a catering planner for caterers and private chefs: events, menus, recipe costs, shopping lists, prep plans and profit, in one place. EVENTS Each event holds the client, venue, date, guest count and status (inquiry, confirmed, prepping, completed, cancelled), the contract price, deposit and balance due, dietary needs with guest counts, and a reminder the day before. RECIPES AND MENUS Keep recipes with ingredients, quantities and cost per unit, servings, prep and cook time and allergens; Galley works out the cost per serving. Build each event's menu with a cost per person. SHOPPING AND PREP A shopping list of the ingredients in your recipes, scaled to each event's guest count and added up across events, and a prep plan with tasks, categories and due dates that you can start from a timeline for the kind of event. REFERENCE LIBRARY (FREE) Six reference topics, available offline: scaling and portions, food cost benchmarks, prep timelines, dietary accommodations, equipment checklists and food safety.
