Cyrus is an AI emotional support tool built from the real clinical knowledge and experience of licensed, practicing therapists — people who are in the room with real clients every week. It is not a therapist. It will tell you that clearly and often. But a lot of people are already turning to AI for support between sessions, and Cyrus is the most clinically honest version of that we know how to build. What makes Cyrus different Actually built by therapists. Not advised by therapists. Not "trained by psychologists." Built and continuously refined by licensed clinicians who are actively practicing — people who understand what it actually means to sit with someone. Listens before it talks. It works especially well as a between-session support tool for people already in therapy, and as a first step for people who aren't ready for or don't have access to clinical care. What it's not Cyrus is not a crisis service, a therapy service, or a substitute for professional mental health care. It does not provide diagnosis or treatment of any kind. Built in the Berkshires Cyrus was built by Gabriel Kelley, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker working in western Massachusetts. It grew out of a simple observation: more and more clients were using AI between sessions, and nothing out there was built by people who actually understood what they were doing clinically.
