GSF REFON

About

REFON turns your iPhone into a wireless monitor for your studio. Drop the REFON plug-in on the master track of your DAW, open the app, and the sound follows you around the room over your local Wi-Fi - around 100 ms of latency. No cables, no audio interface, no account. WHAT YOU NEED REFON is two pieces that work together: a desktop plug-in (VST3 on Windows, VST3 + Audio Unit on macOS) and this app. The plug-in is a free download at https://gsfsystems.com - the app on its own has nothing to connect to. HOW IT WORKS 1. Install the plug-in and place it on your Master track. 2. Open this app. It finds your computer by itself - no IP address to type in. 3. Press play. The audio arrives on your phone. WORKS WITH Ableton Live, FL Studio, Reaper, Cubase, Studio One and Bitwig (VST3), and Logic Pro (Audio Unit). Windows and macOS, Apple Silicon and Intel. GOOD TO KNOW - Your computer and your phone must be on the same Wi-Fi network. Guest Wi-Fi and cellular will not work. - iOS asks for "Local Network" permission the first time you open the app. Without it, the app can never find your computer. - Skip Bluetooth headphones when judging latency - they add 150-250 ms on their own. Use the speaker or wired headphones. PRIVACY Nothing is collected and nothing leaves your network. The audio travels straight from your computer to your phone over Wi-Fi. No account, no sign-up, no server in the middle.
