Listing changes AppTracker has observed for this app in this storefront — new versions, price moves, rating shifts, and store copy.
Whiskey River is now free to download with a 15-day free trial of everything. After that, a single $7.99 purchase unlocks the full app for good. NEW • Star ratings — rate the playing song 1 to 5 stars right from the Now Playing screen. Ratings save straight to your JRiver library. (Requires a library set up with a username and password.) • Play with Play Doctor — press and hold any song or album and Whiskey River builds an instant playlist of music that goes with it. • Download videos for offline viewing — save movies and shows to your device and watch them with no connection at all. Play them in Whiskey River, VLC or Infuse, and manage them from a new Video section in your local library. • Browse artwork from your own library — the Browse categories now show tiles made from albums you actually own, refreshed daily. IMPROVED • Casting stays put. Pick a speaker once and it stays selected through track changes, stopping, switching libraries, and reaching the end of a queue — until you turn casting off yourself. • Skip to any point in a song while casting. Seeking now works on every format, including on Sonos, and without the few seconds of silence it used to cause. • Music stored on your device can now be cast, not just music from your server. • Sonos speakers show the room name you gave them. • Better album art on the Now Playing screen, including artwork stored alongside your music files. Art for the previous and next songs is ready before you swipe to them. • Tour dates appear right away instead of after listening for 30 seconds. • Playlist backup now includes your server playlists and your Liked Songs, and puts them back on the right library when you restore. FIXED • Turning casting off no longer resumes the wrong song — playback picks up where the speaker left off. • Browse tiles no longer vanish shortly after appearing. • "Use Whiskey River's Folder" now scans everything the Files app shows under Whiskey River, instead of only the Music folder inside it. • Video categories that hold files rather than folders now show artwork. • Fixed a missing icon on the VLC option.

About
Whiskey River is a music player for the music you own. Point it at the music on your device and it plays your files — no account, no cloud, no subscription, nothing streamed from anyone else's catalog. Your library, your rules. AND A FULL JRIVER REMOTE If you run JRiver Media Center, Whiskey River connects straight to it. Browse and search your whole collection, stream it anywhere you have a connection, and control what plays on the server itself. Rate songs from the Now Playing screen and the rating saves to your JRiver library. Create your own playlists. Long-press any song or album to hand it to Play Doctor and get an instant playlist built around it. Download movies and shows to watch offline. It works with your own server, over your own network — nothing in between. WHAT YOU GET • Daily playlists — fresh mixes built from your own library and listening habits • Rediscover — albums and artists you haven't played in years, surfaced automatically • Artist spotlights and recommendations while you listen • Tour tracking — concerts near you, filter by the artists you actually play, updated as you travel • CarPlay — a clean, driver-friendly version of the whole library • Casting — send music to Sonos and other DLNA speakers, or use AirPlay • Parametric EQ with adaptive presets that follow the genre you're playing • Podcasts — search, follow and listen without leaving the app • Internet radio — preset stations + add any custom stream url • Download your music direct from your JRiver library to your local library. • Share albums and mixes with other Whiskey River + JRiver friends The bigger your collection, the better it gets — because everything here runs on your music, not a catalog someone else picked.
