About

Can you light up this old shopping street one more time? Your grandmother's diner closed twenty years ago. In the rainy alley, the first order slip is waiting on the ground. STORY A quiet post-war shopping street, half of it behind shutters. My diner closed twenty years ago, without a word to anyone. When you open the door, you will find the first order slip already pinned to the wooden board. Rice into a rice ball. Tea leaves into a warm cup. Every time you put two of the same thing together, the dish grows up, and someone's memory comes back a little. Mugi, the black cat, carries the key around his neck and brings you pieces of the night market. Why did the night market stop twenty years ago? What did I never get to say? It comes back to you slowly, as you play. WHAT YOU WILL DO - Deliver order slips to the wooden board, one small satisfaction at a time - Merge with one hand, just by putting two of the same together - Renovate the diner floor, the bathhouse curtain, the florist's alley, and watch the street change - Collect the fragments of night market memory Mugi brings back from his errands - See the street change every week with rain, cherry blossom, fireflies and snow - Warm hand-drawn art and a solo piano soundtrack - Your progress follows you when you change devices YOU MIGHT LIKE THIS IF - You like puzzles that move forward comfortably in a short sitting - You are looking for a game at your own pace, with no competition and no pressure - You like retro Japanese small-town streets - You want to read a short story a little at a time - You like black cats WHAT WE LEFT OUT No forced ads. No gacha. No chat. Rewarded ads only appear when you choose to watch one. The ad-free supporter ticket removes them for good. The first fifteen minutes take you through your grandmother's letter, meeting Mugi, and your first renovation. After that, it is your pace. ---- Backstreet Merge Diner is free to download and play.
