JCH IED Studio brings professional IEC 61850 tooling to your Mac and iPad. Connect to Intelligent Electronic Devices (IEDs) in substations and industrial automation, explore their data model, and work with live values — in a fast, fully native app. FEATURES: • Connect over MMS – Establish IEC 61850/MMS sessions to your IEDs over TCP/IP and browse the complete data model: Logical Devices, Logical Nodes, Data Objects, and Data Attributes. • Read & write values – Inspect real-time data and write values directly to the device. • Reports – Discover and enable Report Control Blocks and receive buffered and unbuffered reports. • Control commands – Operate switching objects with Select-before-Operate and direct control. • GOOSE – Publish GOOSE messages for testing and integration (Layer 2 features on Mac require the free JCH GOOSE Bridge from the vendor website). • SCL/SCD files – Open and inspect station configurations. Browse IEDs, Access Points, and Data Sets directly from the SCL. • Built-in server simulator – Run an IEC 61850 server right on your device and develop and try out client workflows without external hardware. • Secure connections – Connect to devices that require authentication. NOTE: MMS connections work natively, including when the iPad app runs on Apple Silicon Macs. GOOSE and other Layer 2 features require the free JCH GOOSE Bridge, because the sandboxed App Store app is not granted direct access to raw network frames.
