About
Verse & Voice: The Songbook The Workspace You’ve Been Looking For. Verse & Voice was born from a shared frustration. As songwriters, we spent years searching for a digital songbook that didn't feel like a cluttered note-taking app or a bloated recording suite. We couldn't find a tool that respected the craft, so we built one. The Ancient Apparatus Manifesto We believe creative tools should be an extension of your workflow, not a hindrance to it. Mindful Functionality: A bloat-free design. No unnecessary features, no clutter, and no distractions between you and your next song. Creative Sovereignty: You own your tools. We don't believe in "renting" your workspace. One purchase, zero recurring fees. Local-First Privacy: Your intellectual property belongs to you. All lyrics and recordings are stored locally on your device—never in a mystery cloud. Where Words Meet Melody Stop hunting through your phone for that one melody that matched those specific lyrics. Verse & Voice provides a unified "Writing Desk" where every song is a single file containing both your written verses and your recorded voice sparks. Boutique Features: The Focused Layout: A 65/35 split screen optimized for the iPhone, placing your lyrics front and center while keeping your recordings a single tap away. Unified Filing: Keep lyrics and audio takes perfectly organized by song. No more digital junk drawers. Frictionless Capture: Record a melody idea while viewing your lyrics in real-time. The Vault: Move your entire library—lyrics and audio—between devices with our proprietary .vvz archive system. Curated Aesthetics: Choose from boutique themes like Root Beer and Vintage Office to match your creative mood. Designed by songwriters, for songwriters. Your songs are too important to be lost in a sea of generic notes. Experience a tool designed to enhance your craft naturally.
