About
Discover Japan's sake breweries. Find them on the map, visit, and collect photo stamps. Sakagura Meguri lists more than 1,300 sake breweries across Japan, with opening days, what you can do at each one (tasting, shopping, brewery tours, restaurants) and upcoming events. The app is fully available in English. ■ Brewery map See every brewery on the map and find the ones closest to you. Filter by prefecture, keyword, opening status, or by what you can do there. ■ Photo stamp book Record each brewery you visit and add your own photos. You can also register visits from photos you took in the past. The visit date is filled in automatically. ■ XP, levels and badges Earn XP for every visit and level up. Breweries far from home, and visiting several in one day, earn bonus XP. Badges unlock as you visit more breweries and more prefectures. ■ Opening information Check opening days, closures and today's status for each brewery, plus whether tasting (free or paid), shopping, brewery tours and restaurants are available. Spotted something wrong? Anyone can suggest a correction, and the brewery can confirm it. ■ Event alerts Get notified when a brewery you follow holds an event such as a kurabiraki (brewery open house). Sake events across Japan are listed too. ■ Point & Speak phrasebook A bilingual phrase sheet to use at the counter, plus an English glossary of label terms such as Junmai Daiginjo, Sake Meter Value and Nama. ■ Sake tips and etiquette Learn how sake is made, how to taste it and how to store it, including the four SSI flavour types. First visit to a brewery? Our etiquette guide covers what to prepare, how to behave during a tour, tasting manners and photo rules. ■ For brewery owners Manage your opening schedule and events, and send messages about events and offers to the visitors you choose. Please drink responsibly. This app is intended for users of legal drinking age in their country.
