This release makes the meter more accurate β exactly where an R128 check looks. Verified against the official EBU test material: every test signal in EBU Tech 3341 and Tech 3342 that applies to a stereo meter is met β at every sample rate from 32 to 192 kHz. Mono measured correctly: A single-channel source such as the iPhone microphone was counted twice and read 3 LU too loud. Fixed. True peak with 8x oversampling: The error on inter-sample peaks drops from up to 2.0 dB to below 0.2 dB. Momentary and short-term on a 5 ms grid: Brief peaks are now captured that could previously fall between measurement blocks. Unchanged speed on long programmes: The computational load no longer depends on measurement duration β after eight hours the app measures as calmly as after five minutes. Loudness bars on the EBU +9 scale: twice the resolution around the target, and the scale follows the selected profile. True-peak limit per profile: EBU R128 β1 dBTP, ATSC A/85 and Free TV OP-59 β2 dBTP, and β3 dBTP for podcast, YouTube and audiobook, following the EBU recommendation for material that still passes through a codec. Max true peak stays on screen with an OVER indicator β a brief overshoot can no longer slip past you. A new line shows input, channel count and sample rate. Measurement keeps running while the screen is locked. A denied microphone permission is explained, and one tap takes you to Settings. New pegelWERK look.
