About
GlossPage translates a page right where you're reading it. The translation lands on top of the original text, in the original layout, so nothing moves and nothing needs copying. Point it at a comic page, a book, a PDF, or whatever app is on screen. Trigger it with Back Tap, the Action Button, Shortcuts, Photos, the Share Sheet, or straight from a PDF. Comics, webtoons, and manga GlossPage separates lettering from artwork and translates each speech bubble and caption on its own, leaving the art untouched. It reads handwritten Japanese and Chinese as well as printed type, so scans work as well as clean digital pages. The Safari Webtoon Grabber captures a full scrolling chapter in one go, and both the original and the translation are saved to history. Works with webtoon, manga, manhwa, manhua, comics, and online novel pages. Books, PDFs, and scans Translate multi-page PDFs, photographed pages, and scanned books with the document structure intact. Switch to bilingual mode and each translated block sits beside the lines it came from, aligned to the original rows, so the source is one glance away. Any app on screen Capture the current screen and read the result in place: posts, menus, forms, signs, messages, study materials, screenshots. Features: - Layout-aware OCR that understands speech bubbles, panels, columns, and document structure - Handwriting recognition for Japanese - Translation overlaid in place by default, bilingual mode when you want both - On-device translation, private and offline - Online translation with Pro for long pages and harder text. Only recognized text blocks are sent for translation, never your screenshots, images, comic captures, or PDF files - Automatic source language detection - History of recent translations, unlimited in Local and Pro - Export raw text, translated text, bilingual text, and Markdown (Pro) Good for: - Webtoon, manga, manhwa, and manhua readers - Language learners who want the original next to the translation - Students working through foreign-language textbooks and papers - People living or travelling in another language - Anyone reading screenshots, PDFs, app screens, forms, posts, or signs Start free with limited local translation and recent history. GlossPage Local unlocks unlimited local image and PDF translation, bilingual mode, the Safari Webtoon Grabber, unlimited history, and watermark removal. GlossPage Pro includes everything in Local plus online translation and PDF text and Markdown export. Every new install includes a free 7-day Welcome Pass with online translation and all app features unlocked. Nothing to buy and nothing to cancel. What's new · 2.0.1
Fixes and improvements: • Large PDFs: an online translation no longer stops with "document too big" while your plan still has credit. Continue no longer asks again for the same document and language pair. • Missing text: if a later translation pass fails on a page, a new "Translate missing text" button translates only the text that was left out. • Reading position: the image and PDF readers keep your place when you rotate the device, also in PDFs with mixed page sizes.
