In seconds, Kalo tells you what's on it, how big the portion is, and what it costs you: calories, macros, and a one-line nutrition note. No barcodes. No database digging. Too lazy to snap? Type it or just say it out loud. All three roads lead to the same place. Kalo uses Google's Gemini AI (Google Cloud Vertex AI) to estimate calories. When you log a meal, your photo, voice clip, or typed description is sent to Google for analysis. Kalo asks for your permission before any of this happens.
