NiblyNotes is the digital notebook for school — developed in Germany, together with teachers. Every tool needed in class, in one app: no subscription, no ads, no tracking. FREE AND AD-FREE We promise to keep NiblyNotes free for at least 5 years. WRITING AND DRAWING - Pen, fountain pen, pencil, marker and laser pointer in many colours and thicknesses - Lasso for moving, scaling, rotating and copying - Object eraser removes whole strokes with one swipe - Automatic shape recognition for circles, rectangles and triangles - Lines and arrows with editable endpoints PAGE STYLES TO STANDARD Lined with standard spacing, grid with 5 mm squares, dot grid and margins on the left or right — configurable per page. RULER, SET SQUARE AND COMPASS Like tools from the pencil case — just digital. Strokes snap to the edge, move and rotate with two fingers. Attach the ruler to the set square for the classic parallel shift. Compass with adjustable radius — the drawn circle can be locked in and erased like any stroke. When these tools open, NiblyNotes sets the zoom so 5 mm grid squares and 9 mm line spacing measure exactly that on the screen — verifiable with a real ruler. DYNAMIC ZOOM Every page is freely zoomable regardless of format — portrait or landscape. The Apple Pencil keeps writing while zoomed. TEXT BOXES AND IMAGES Choice of fonts, free size and colour, formatting per word. Scribble with Apple Pencil. Web addresses are detected automatically and become tappable. Photos from library or camera with built-in photo editor. SCANNER AND DOCUMENT IMPORT Capture worksheets and blackboard photos with the iPad camera — multiple pages in one session, black & white or colour, with frame for precise cropping. PDF, Word and PowerPoint documents are imported as notebook pages. PAGE MANAGEMENT Insert new pages at the right spot, delete or clear individual pages — restorable. The page overview sidebar finds the right spot in a large notebook in seconds. ZOOM WRITING A magnified writing panel at the bottom of the screen. What's written there at a comfortable size lands clean and small in the notebook. CURTAIN, PRESENTATION AND FULLSCREEN MODE The curtain reveals notebook pages step by step — also on the external display. When mirroring to a projector or Apple TV, presentation mode shows only the notebook page, without toolbar or menus. Fullscreen mode hides every menu and leaves only a small floating mini-toolbar. PRINT, AIRDROP, SAVE Print via AirPrint, send via AirDrop, save locally as PDF or as a NiblyNotes file. When opened from the editor, the current page is already ticked. Teachers can hide their handwritten master solution on export. SCHOOL CLOUDS BayernCloud Schule, Nextcloud and NetMan for Schools are integrated directly. Upload notebooks and share with a person in one step. The cloud browser opens files from the school cloud directly in a new or existing notebook. Daily automatic backup runs in the background. CLASSROOM MODE Hand out worksheets in the classroom via QR code and collect submissions — entirely locally over the school's Wi-Fi. No external server, no login credentials. SHARED NOTEBOOKS Work together on a notebook via iCloud. Sync runs directly between the participants' Apple Accounts — no third-party server in between. PRIVACY Notebook content is stored locally.
