SunScout Amsterdam

About

SunScout shows you which Amsterdam café and bar terraces are in full sunlight - right now. No guessing. No arriving to find your table in shadow. Just open the app and see exactly where the sun is hitting at this moment. HOW IT WORKS SunScout combines astronomical sun calculations with real Amsterdam 3D building models to predict shadow patterns for every terrace, hour by hour. • Live sun status — each terrace shows whether it's sunny, partial, or shaded right now • Weather-aware — integrates live cloud cover data so the forecast is reflected in the app • Distance sorting — see how far each sunny spot is from where you are • Neighbourhood browse — explore by Jordaan, De Pijp, Centrum, Oud-West and more • Share the sun — send a terrace to friends with one tap BUILT FOR AMSTERDAM Every terrace in SunScout is a real Amsterdam spot. The app knows which direction each terrace faces, what buildings surround it, and exactly when the sun clears them. Shadow data is based on 3D building models and astronomical calculations. Real-world conditions may vary due to trees, awnings, and local obstructions. PRIVACY SunScout collects no data. Your location is used only to calculate walking distances and never leaves your device. No analytics, no tracking, no ads. https://sun-scout-amsterdam.base44.app/privacy
