About
Reimers App is an educational tool designed for orthopedic surgeons, radiologists, and physiotherapists working with pediatric patients. The app provides fast, accurate measurement of two essential radiological indices for pediatric hip assessment: • Reimers Migration Index (RMI) — quantifies the degree of hip subluxation by comparing the extent of the femoral epiphysis outside the acetabulum. • Acetabular Index (AI) — evaluates the inclination of the acetabular roof as an indicator of acetabular development. How it works: 1. Import a pelvic X-ray directly from your camera or photo library. 2. Position 8 interactive anatomical landmarks (triradiate cartilage, acetabular edge, medial and lateral femoral head — bilaterally). 3. RMI and AI are calculated automatically for both hips. 4. Export the results as an image. Indicated for evaluation of developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH), cerebral palsy, and other pediatric hip conditions. Available in Portuguese, English, and Spanish. Disclaimer: This app is intended for educational use. Diagnosis and treatment decisions are the sole responsibility of the licensed healthcare professional.
