New version 2.5.6 → 2.5.7

New: Export Everything (PDF), in Settings > Data & Backup. One PDF of your whole lab: cultures with their history, experiments, notebook, tasks, freezer, reagents, cell lines, equipment, protocols, plate layouts, recipes, sequences and the Logbook. It replaces the Lab Handover Pack. Restoring a backup now brings back everything it should: - The Logbook. - Cell counts and viability logged on a culture. - Links from freezer items, tasks and Logbook entries to your reagents. - Your own media and buffers in the Media and Buffer Recipe calculators. Also fix: - The Lab page counted some experiments twice. - Lab Notebook: every Logbook entry now lines up on the left. - Importing a CSV file the app cannot read now says why, instead of "No new items imported". - Delete All Data now also clears the task list on your Apple Watch. - With the largest text sizes, icons are no longer cut off, and rows, buttons and grids make room for the text, so far fewer words are split across lines. - Lab Bundle is gone: Export Backup (CSV) already includes everything it had. - Backup files edited in Excel on Windows now import. - A mycoplasma test reminder that rings the day after it was due now says how late the test really is.

About

The most complete lab companion. ICLOUD SYNC Cultures, experiments, reagents, freezer items, notebook, plate layouts, tasks, protocols, equipment, and photos sync automatically across iPhone, iPad, and Mac (Apple Silicon). SEQUENCES (BETA) Open plasmid and sequence files: GenBank, FASTA, EMBL, ApE, SnapGene .dna, and Sanger .ab1 chromatograms. Circular and linear plasmid maps, features, ORFs, translation, restriction sites. Align several Sanger reads to one plasmid and check every mismatch on the trace. CALCULATORS Hemocytometer, Cell Seeding, Hydrogel (3D), Cell Splitting, Freezing Medium, Transfection Mix, Kill Curve, Viability, OD600, CFU/mL, Colony Counter (beta), Reagent Dosing, C1V1 Dilution, Fold Dilution, Serial Dilution, Molarity, Percent Solution, Media Recipe Builder, Buffer Recipe Builder, IC50/EC50, Master Mix, Ligation, Primer Tm, qPCR ddCt, DNA/RNA, Bradford/BCA, Western Blot Loading, MOI (plate-aware), Virus Titer, ELISA 4PL Standard Curve, Unit Converter, Centrifuge RPM/RCF. Pin favorites and log every input to your notebook. SCAN YOUR PAPERS Scan a printed protocol (or PDF) and it becomes an editable, timed protocol (requires Apple Intelligence). Scan handwritten pages into your notebook: filed by day, searchable. EXPERIMENT TRACKER Link cultures, reagents, protocols, plate layouts, cell lines, virus stocks, equipment, and photos. Timestamped text and voice notes. Checklist due dates appear in your calendar and tasks. Save any run as a template. Export an A4 PDF. CULTURE TRACKER Log passages, splits, feeds, observations, and mycoplasma tests. Confluency prediction shows when cells are ready. Per-culture feeding schedules drive alerts at your preferred hour. REAGENT LOTS Multiple lots per reagent: lot number, vendor, catalog, open and expiry dates, remaining fraction, price, performance notes. Scan a GS1 barcode or photograph the label to fill the form (Apple Intelligence). PLATE LAYOUT PLANNER Design 6- to 96-well plates with up to 4 color-coded conditions. Paint wells by dragging, per-well notes, link to experiments, export PNG, PDF, or CSV. PROTOCOL TIMERS & TIME COURSES 38 built-in protocol templates with step-by-step timers, plus custom protocols. Time courses: T0 plus your time points, each a countdown timer. Live Activities on Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. Control Center Lab Timer. Apple Watch companion with haptic alerts. LAB NOTEBOOK Daily entries: procedures, quick notes, voice notes, measurement tables. Browse by day, week, month, or year. Export PDF or CSV. PHOTO EDITOR Annotate gel and microscopy photos: labels, arrows, crop, Apple Pencil on iPad, Live Text copy. LAB REFERENCE 20 cell line profiles, 99 reagent molecular weights, buffer recipes, fluorophore spectra, GHS hazards, selection antibiotic concentrations, a genetic-code table, and 20 interactive app tours. INVENTORY Track reagents, equipment, frozen vials, virus stocks, and 15 freezer item types (antibodies, plasmids, primers, and more) with expiry and maintenance alerts. Freezer Manager: any Tank > Rack > Box hierarchy, unified map, mass-freeze, barcode scanner, printable box labels. TODAY DASHBOARD Daily tasks, culture alerts, experiment progress, and overdue checklist steps in one view. SEARCH, WIDGETS, SIRI, SPOTLIGHT Search every data type. Home and Lock Screen widgets. "Hey Siri, start a lab timer." Spotlight and quick actions. BACKUP & SHARING Export your records as CSV (photos included on request), re-import to update in place. Share a Lab Bundle: hand a colleague just your freezer, reagents, protocols, or cell lines; they import it with a preview. Printable Lab Handover Pack PDF. PRIVACY Your data lives in your private iCloud database, readable only by your signed-in Apple devices. The developer never sees it. No tracking, no analytics, no accounts. Voice, scanning, photo editing, and PDFs run on-device. iCloud sync can be turned off any time.
