About
The purpose of this application is educational. In a simulated subject, it aims to clearly demonstrate muscular interactions (contraction, inhibition, spasm, etc.) and their effects on the ocular musculature in relation to the position the eyes will adopt in cases of paresis of the different muscles. This application does not intend to reproduce a living being, although on many occasions it comes very close, but to highlight in a didactic way, the different paresis of the oculomotor muscles so that the user becomes familiar with them. An attempt has been made to allow the user to interact with a simulated subject by enabling different tools for use in the examination (Cover Test, gaze positions (versions), Bielchowsky maneuver). We can also configure random alterations that will remain hidden until we decide to reveal them. We will have at our disposal all the exploration tools available in the application (gaze positions "versions" , cover test, Bielchowsky maneuver). By pressing the information button, we can access all the documentation related to the selection we have made. For example, if we are working with the superior rectus muscle, the information will be a summary of its anatomical and functional aspects. If there is no prior selection, the information will be a compendium of the basic aspects of motor physiology. Throughout the application, we will have a suggestions window that, depending on the moment we are at, will offer us resources to follow, as well as a very simple tutorial that will guide us in the first steps and a user guide with all aspects of the application.
