What's New in 1.7.5 Add a photo any way you like Paste one from the clipboard, drag and drop it straight into the app, or — on a Mac — pick it in Files. iPad on Mac Better Mac support: the trackpad now pans and zooms the photo, and keyboard shortcuts undo the last point or save the measurement. Detection, tuned A lot of work under the hood on the detection algorithms: thin tails, self-crossings and a ruler in frame throw it off less often, and background patterns are less likely to be read as a reference card. For the toughest shots — a tightly coiled snake, a busy substrate — Premium adds cloud detection, which handles them best. Units that match your region On a new install, lengths start in inches in the US and UK and in centimetres elsewhere. You can change this at any time in Settings. Cards worth sharing The measurement and analytics cards were reworked: the photo leads, the measuring line no longer hides the animal, growth now says over which dates it happened, and dates are written out in your language instead of a numeric format that reads differently from country to country. Chart exports keep units on every figure and a clearer time axis. Plus More evenly spaced measurement points, a lot of interface polish including clearer hints while you measure, faster and more reliable loading of the web version, and various fixes throughout.
