Find cameras that broadcast nothing at all A camera with no radio cannot be scanned for. Lens Glint Finder turns your torch into a guided visual sweep, walking you through the places cameras actually get hidden and using the reflection off the lens to give them away. A manual aid, deliberately — it does not claim to detect anything by itself. Deep scan for cameras hiding on your network Some cameras sit on the Wi-Fi and simply never announce themselves, so nothing turns up in an ordinary scan. Deep scan checks each address on your own network for the ports cameras and recorders listen on. It is off until you turn it on, only ever looks at the network you are already connected to, and sends nothing to the devices it finds — it opens a connection and closes it again. Unbranded IP cameras Cheap cameras and recorders often advertise no recognizable vendor name. They are now identified by the services and ports they expose, so a no-name camera is no longer invisible. More devices recognized by name Cheap unbranded keyfinders — the kind sold everywhere for a few dollars — are now identified as trackers rather than unknown oddities, which means they can trigger follow-me alerts like any other tag. Tags that name themselves as Find My devices are caught even when they advertise nothing else. Trackers on Google's Find My Device network are recognized alongside Apple Find My, and Windows computers are identified as what they are instead of appearing as an unexplained signal. Evidence you can hand to someone Attach up to five photos to any finding. Exports now carry a SHA-256 integrity digest, so a recipient can verify the file has not been altered, alongside a For Law Enforcement section covering where the data came from and — just as importantly — what it cannot prove on its own. Ratings you can read at a glance Threat level and identification confidence were easy to confuse: a device the app was only fairly sure it had identified could look like a warning. They are now clearly separate, colour marks risk and nothing else, and a new legend explains both. Your data, your switches Location tagging and follow-me notifications can now be turned off, and back on, whenever you like — right in the app, without digging through Settings. Locations have always stayed on your device; now leaving them off is just as easy as switching them on. Also in this release Sort what you find by signal strength, so the nearest device is first when you are sweeping a room. Hide devices you already know, and reveal them again with one tap, so a familiar home or office does not bury the one thing that does not belong. Not finding something? The app now explains what each of your devices can see, and points out that a Bluetooth scan alone will never find a Wi-Fi camera. The app tells you when local network scanning is not running, instead of showing an empty list that looks like a clean result. See on a map where a device has been detected, even before any locations have been recorded. Reporting a wrong result now asks what was actually wrong, so corrections reach us in a form we can act on. On Mac, panels that previously opened empty now display correctly.
