About
Jarred is a canning journal for home preservers: keep tested recipes with processing times for your altitude, log every batch and its seal check, and know what is on your pantry shelves, jar by jar. RECIPES - 34 bundled recipes based on USDA and NCHFP guidance: strawberry jam, grape and pepper jelly, dill pickles, crushed tomatoes, tested salsa, green beans, chicken broth, apple butter and more - Save your own recipes with jar size, headspace, processing method, time and pressure, and the tested source (USDA, NCHFP, Ball) - A safety check stops you saving a low-acid recipe for water bath processing: low-acid foods need a pressure canner - Times for your altitude: set your elevation in feet or meters, and every recipe shows its water-bath time adjusted by the USDA altitude rules (or the recipe's own NCHFP table), while pressure-canner recipes show the pressure for a weighted or dial gauge BATCHES Log each canning session: the recipe, jars filled and jars sealed, seal-check notes, the pressure you used, where the produce came from and what it cost, and how the batch turned out. If a batch was logged with less than the tested time for your altitude, Jarred marks it so you can check it. PANTRY See your jars by category (jams, pickles, tomatoes, vegetables, fruits, salsa, meat and relish), tap "Use a Jar" when you open one, and see which items are running low and which are close to their best-by date. The home screen shows what is in season for your hemisphere. FREE Up to 8 of your own recipes (plus the 34 bundled ones), 15 batches and 30 pantry items. JARRED PRO - Unlimited recipes, batches and pantry items - Expenses for each batch, with the cost per jar - Pantry history: every jar you opened, and when - AI Canning Expert: ask a canning question and get an answer in plain language; always check it against tested guidance such as USDA or NCHFP - A Year in Preserving card to share your season Jarred Pro is a monthly or yearly subscription that renews automatically. Cancel any time in your App Store account settings. Terms of Use (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
