Tourizzt

About

Book a verified local guide — a Localite — for a day in the place you are visiting. Tourizzt is not a tour company. It is a way to spend the day with somebody who actually lives where you are going: the person who knows which gate has no queue, which stall is worth the walk, and what the guidebook got wrong ten years ago. EVERY LOCALITE IS VERIFIED BEFORE THEY APPEAR Not "trusted". Verified, by us, before anyone can be booked: • Aadhaar identity check against the government record • A live selfie, captured in the app, matched to that identity — a photo from the internet does not pass • Age confirmed 18 or over, from the ID itself • Vehicle registration checked against the national VAHAN database, when they drive A Localite who has not cleared all of it is not on the map. HOW A DAY WORKS 1. Tell us where you are and when. See the Localites available. 2. Send a request. You pay nothing yet. 3. The Localite accepts — then you pay. 4. Meet, verify with a one-time code, and go. You are never charged for a day nobody agreed to. SAFETY, BUILT IN RATHER THAN PROMISED • SOS from anywhere in the app during a trip, one press • Your emergency contact and our safety team both alerted, with your location • Every trip starts with a code you and your Localite exchange in person • Chat stays inside the app — no phone numbers handed over • Reviews after every trip, from real travellers PLAN THE DAY BEFORE YOU ARRIVE Build a roadmap: pick your stops, see the real driving distance and time between them, and reorder until the day makes sense. Share it with a link — the people you send it to can open it whether or not they have the app. TRAVEL WITH OTHER PEOPLE • Open seats on your booking and split the cost with other travellers • Find people already going where you are going • Join an organised trip run by a Localite A DAY THE SIZE YOU NEED Half day, full day, or extend on the spot when the day is going well. The price changes with it; nothing is renegotiated in person. WHERE WE ARE Mysuru first, and growing across India. If there is no Localite near you yet, that is a gap we are filling city by city. WHAT IT COSTS The Localite sets their rate and you see it before you book. Refunds follow a published cancellation policy — the further out you cancel, the more comes back.
