About

Your zone 2 is probably wrong. The standard formula — 220 minus your age — misses by up to 20 beats per minute for many people. Two runners the same age can have true thresholds more than 20 bpm apart, yet every watch gives them identical zones. If staying "in zone 2" forces you to walk, your zones are likely miscalibrated — not your fitness. RunEasy measures YOUR zone 2, from your voice. THE CALIBRATION RUN Run one guided ramp test: short stages, each slightly harder. At the end of each stage, RunEasy asks you a question through your watch speaker — just answer out loud. It analyzes your breathing, phrasing, and vocal strain to find the exact effort where your speech starts breaking down: the classic talk-test threshold, measured instead of guessed. You get your personal zone 2 — a heart-rate band and pace range that's yours, with a side-by-side of what the formula would have told you. THEN JUST RUN After calibration, runs are silent. Your screen and haptics coach you from your personal band — green means go, a buzz means ease off. Turn the Digital Crown to spotlight whichever metric matters to you right now. An occasional voice check-in verifies your zone as fitness changes, and RunEasy nudges you to recalibrate every few weeks. KEY FEATURES - Calibration ramp test: staged protocol finds your personal zone 2 HR + pace band - Separate zones for running and cycling — they're different physiological measurements - Voice-based talk tests: 6-dimension acoustic analysis (breathing, fluency, strain) — the physiological signal HR formulas try to approximate - Resting voice check anchors every measurement to YOUR voice at rest - Silent coached runs: personal-band color + distinct haptics; no chatter unless you want it - Crown-spotlight run screen: stacked metrics, turn the crown to enlarge the one you care about - Post-run voice notes: dictate how the run felt on your watch; your iPhone transcribes it into the workout - Apple Fitness: workouts save with GPS route maps, distance, calories - Run + Ride, US units (min/mi and mph) Talk tests are analyzed entirely on your watch and the audio is discarded. Voice notes are transcribed by your own iPhone.
