FRETLING ON IPHONE Fretling now runs on iPhone, in landscape: the same fretboard, tuner, metronome, amp and looper you use on iPad and Mac, laid out for the smaller screen. Fretling Pro covers it too. ANY IPAD WINDOW On iPad, Fretling turns with your device and works at any window size, in Split View, Stage Manager and Windowed Apps. The layout follows the window and folds into a compact form when it gets narrow or short. VOICEOVER ON THE FRETBOARD VoiceOver now reaches the neck itself. Each string is one control: swipe up or down to move along it, double-tap to play the note, or in Identify to place or remove it. A CLEANER TOP BAR The audio engine and CPU readout has left the top bar, so the controls you play with have more room. Fine-Tune Model is gone from Settings › Audio too: it was a developer tool for shaping the modelled guitars and was never meant to ship. FIXES • Every scale run plays every degree: E Major no longer skipped G# under a CAGED box or a fret window • A note played again while it rings no longer cuts itself off • Accidentals follow the key you're in, in every mode • A slash chord's bass note sounds in the bass on the chord pad • Shift-Space plays the chord in Triads • Every label reads in Spanish when Fretling runs in Spanish • On iPad, the top bar clears the window controls of a resized window

About
Fretling puts the fretboard first. Say what you want to learn in plain language — "I want to learn Scales in E Major" — and see it laid out on an interactive neck you can tap to hear. No theory jargon at the front door. The depth is there when you want it. SEE IT ON THE NECK • Scales — major, minor, both pentatonics, and blues, drawn across the whole neck • Chords — from triads to extensions, with real fingerings from a built-in chord database • Triads — three-note shapes grouped by string set • CAGED boxes, pentatonic positions, and 3-notes-per-string as overlays you switch on below the neck HEAR IT Tap any note to play it. Play a whole scale or strum the chord you're looking at. Note playback uses a real sampled instrument, so what you see on the neck is what you hear. PLUG IN YOUR GUITAR (FRETLING PRO) Connect a USB-C audio interface and monitor your guitar through Fretling. The amp runs Neural Amp Modeler profiles — clean, crunch, warm, and acoustic models are built in, and you can load your own .nam files. Record what you play with the built-in looper and practice over it. Use headphones or an interface: monitoring through the built-in speaker feeds back into the built-in mic, and the amp will tell you so. MAKE IT YOURS • Labels: note names, interval numbers, or nothing at all • Colors: full color or gray • Accidentals: sharps or flats, and Fretling spells everything to match • Limit the fret range to just the part of the neck you're working on • 14 app icons to pick from CHORD ATLAS Browse the whole chord catalog from the header — pick a root and a quality, preview how it sounds, and see it land on the neck. Chord Atlas knows the key you're in, so it shows the Roman numeral too — and names borrowed harmony, secondary dominants and modal interchange, on sight. IDENTIFY A CHORD Flip from "learn" to "identify" and the neck becomes a blank canvas. Tap the notes you're fingering and Fretling names the chord: the primary reading, why it's that chord, its Roman numeral in your key, and the alternate readings — including the near misses that keep every note you played. With Pro you can play the chord instead and let Fretling listen. PRACTICE TOOLS • Metronome — full tempo range, every meter, subdivisions from quarters to sixteenths, triplets and dotted eighths, tap tempo, and three click sounds • Chromatic tuner — needle and bar displays, with the reference pitch you set • Mixer — balance notes, chords, metronome, amp, and looper levels independently FRETLING PRO Everything above is free, for good — not a trial, and nothing in it expires. Pro is the deep end on top: • The rest of the modes — Dorian, Mixolydian, Phrygian, Lydian, Locrian, plus harmonic and melodic minor • Precision tuning — a bench mode accurate to half a cent, with trace, strobe, and strobe disc displays • Drum grooves — a step sequencer and pattern library behind the metronome • Live Detect — hear what you played, named on the neck, and send it straight to identify • The guitar amp and the looper described above One purchase, once — no subscription. It unlocks Fretling on every device signed into your Apple Account and supports Family Sharing. Nothing that is free today moves behind the unlock later. PRIVATE BY DEFAULT Fretling runs entirely on your device. No account, no analytics, no cloud sync. The microphone or audio interface is used only for the tuner, Live Detect, and the amp, and only while you have them open. Fretling's core is free and stays free. Fretling Pro is one optional purchase. The tip jar in About is separate and unlocks nothing.
