About
edubadges is the national platform for digital certificates in Dutch education. With an edubadge, you prove the knowledge and skills you have acquired. Store all your edubadges in one place, share them with employers or on LinkedIn, and make the switch from education to work easier. With edubadges you receive digital certificates from your university, university of applied sciences or vocational institution. Each edubadge contains detailed information about the learning outcomes you have achieved: from regular courses to microcredentials and extracurricular activities. Your edubadges are linked to your personal eduID: an identity that lasts a lifetime, even after graduation. Your certificates are always accessible and shareable. Why edubadges? - Store all your digital certificates and microcredentials in one place - Share edubadges directly via LinkedIn, email or other platforms - Organise your badges in personal collections and make them public or private - Verify the authenticity of every edubadge with one tap - Linked to eduID: your certificates last a lifetime, even after graduation - Free and secure. Your privacy comes first, you decide what to share edubadges is developed by SURF, the ICT cooperative for Dutch education. The national platform makes edubadges comparable, interchangeable and stackable across institutions. All mbo, hbo and wo institutions in the Netherlands can issue edubadges, following the Open Badges standard for international recognition. How it works Create an eduID or sign in with your existing account. Claim your edubadge via the link you receive from your institution. View the details of your badge and add it to your backpack. Create collections and share your edubadges with employers, on LinkedIn or with other institutions. edubadges supports lifelong development: whether you are a student, working professional or someone upskilling.
