Thank you for using Coat! We added a few new features and solved some issues. Journal Map View: View all your past hikes as pins on an interactive world map right inside the Journal tab. Hike Again: Re-hike any past adventure with your previous trail shown on the map as a guide, plus a quick button to jump right to the trailhead. Live Direction & Compass: See exactly which way you're facing with a new directional pointer on your map location and a live compass badge. Off-Trail Trail Network: See faint outlines of all your previous hikes on the map while exploring off-trail. Live Step Tracking: Track your steps in real time directly from the dashboard and Lock Screen Live Activity, with customizable dashboard placement to replace or pair with your elevation stats. Bug Fixes & Improvements Accurate Mileage: Fixed GPS drift under heavy tree cover so your trail no longer zig-zags and recorded distance stays true. App Freeze Fix: Fixed a freeze and crash that could occur when tapping the "GO!" button to start a hike. Map Route Recovery: Fixed an issue where the trail line would disappear if the app was interrupted or reopened. Faster Performance: Opening past hikes, reviewing charts, and viewing photos is now much faster and smoother.

About
A GPS Hiking Tracker for those who make their own way and want to keep their data private. We love hiking to explore, going off-trail, and blazing our own paths. We don’t need an app telling us where to go. However, we wanted a way to mark spots and capture photos of interesting landmarks, artifacts, and discoveries directly within the app. We are also firm believers that your data belongs to you, and only you. That is why Hiking Diary was born with a privacy-first design. We don’t collect data, and we certainly don’t share it. In fact, we have no clue what you are doing with the Hiking Diary app. We simply want you to have fun and enjoy your hikes without distractions or privacy concerns. So go out for a hike and enjoy the journey! Features: - Pro-Grade GPS: High-accuracy tracking utilizing your iPhone’s full GPS capabilities. - Battery Optimized: Efficient display modes with full background support—track your hike even with the screen off. - Field Notes & Photos: Document artifacts and landmarks directly in the app. - Hiking Journal: Keep a beautifully organized log of all your adventures. - Compass Navigation: Easily navigate back to the specific coordinates of your saved notes and photos. - GPX Export: Export your raw data to analyze your tracks in your preferred external tools. - Privacy-First: No accounts, no tracking. Your data is yours. Privacy Policy: https://gocoati.com/privacy/ Terms & Conditions: https://gocoati.com/terms/ Terms of Use (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
