Ding is a utility-focused notification and messaging app designed to enable intentional, permission-based communication outside of traditional email and SMS. The app allows users to send focused notifications (“Dings”) containing text, images, or short videos to recipients who have explicitly opted in to receive them. Ding is not a social network, advertising platform, or bulk messaging service, and it does not scrape contacts or send unsolicited messages. All content is user-generated and initiated by the sender. Recipients maintain full control over notification preferences, including muting, disabling, or unsubscribing from senders at any time.
